I started My first blog in 2010. The world has turned on its axis many times since then. And, in my humble opinion, it has very nearly been knocked out of its orbit in the last four years. So I figure I’d better get back to some of my dreams before they fester.
One in particular I share with a writer friend of mine, Dan Gleason, who teaches creative writing online. The dream is to create more avenues of exposure for young and new poets.
The way it works is any teacher, mentor, or friend who feels it would benefit a new poet to be featured in a popular blog format, simply needs to email us a brief bio of the poet along with the poem to be featured.
The poem will appear (on a Wednesday) on Facebook and Twitter as well as in my blog New Poets Wednesday.
Our very first new poet will be Angel Hoppe, an online student at Post University.
See Angel’s poem on Facebook and Twitter, or go to my website garrycox.com and find her under New Poets Wednesday.
